EU Operational Committee

Under Article 15 of the Establishment Order the Authority is given responsibility to make proposals and submissions as required in connection with the preparation of any plans or programmes for submission by Government to the E.U. for financial assistance. The Authority also has been given the responsibility of reviewing the implementation in its region of the EU Structural & Cohesion Funds Programmes. To assist the Authority in this regard an E.U. Operational Committee has been established, consisting of the County Managers, and certain Chief Executive Officers of State Agencies in the region, members of Local Authorities, representatives of the main Government Departments, Social Partners (including business and Trade Unions), community interests and representatives of the European Commission.
